Wild Rose Watercolor Painting

This Morning my girls wanted me to show them how to do watercolor and that was funny because I don't really know how myself.  any way this is what we tied to paint.  It is suppose to be a wildrose.

I also made this card from the sunfower painting I did the other day.  That is really the reason I wanted to paint is to be able to make cards from them.  I hope  you like them.

New watercolor picture

I always love to see blackberries on the vine.  It reminds me of when I was a little girl.  We would go down by the railroad tracks and pick blackberries for my Mom to make blackberry pie.  It also reminds me of my Sister Becky.  She is so good at making blackberry jelly.  so here's to you Becky.

Butterfly in watercolor

I was just stting here and I looked over and on my desk was this picture that I painted a few years ago for a lesson that I had to teach at girls camp.  So I thought you might enjoy it.

Sunflower in watercolor

This is a painting that I did yesterday.  I have been thinking about doing some for cards.
When I do a card I will post it.  I did this paining in watercolor paints.

Spring Time Wisteria

When I was a little girl growing up in Alabama we had wisteria all over the place.  So this is one of my most wonderful spring memories.  I down loaded a pic of wisteria and made three copies of it.  then I cut parts out and layerd them.  the edges of the paper I inked with different colors that are in the pic.  Then added a bow.

Cards Cassie and I made.

This is a card that Cassie made for me because I have been feeling pretty low because my sister died last week.  It is so beautiful and I love it and that she thought of me.
This is a card we made together today.  She made the butterfly and I made the watermelon and the background of the card.  It was so much fun hanging out with her today.  We are going to have a crop over at her house soon.

Card for my Sister

This is a card that I made for one of my sisters.  We lost one of my sisters last week and it has been very hard for us.

Cute Bunny

I really really love this card.  It turned out so cute.  Pictures do not do it justis.  I use doodlecharms to make the egg shape card and for the window.  I found a cute bunny pic on the web and printed it out and the layered it.  Added a little sparkle and they you have it.  I also inked around all the edges, I am really into that.  I can't say how much I loved making this card.  I wonder who will be the lucky one to recieve it.

Spring Time Card

My daughter and I have a challage with each other to come up with a Spring Time card.  I wanted to do pinwheels but I just couldn't get them small enough so I went with kites.  I used the playtime cardridge that I got with my new cricut.
This is so much fun!!!! I love to craft!!!! It is my happy place!!!!!

Explosion Box

This is my first explosion box I have ever made.  I wanted to make one and when I got started it just turned into a game.

The game is to help the baby animals find their mommy and daddy.

The mommy and daddies will be in the differnet pockets along with other tags that have other things on them.

I made a lot of butterfies and dragonflies and pretty flowers.  I also used some ladybugs.  It is very colorful and I loved making it.

I still have to make the tags for it but I just couldn't wait to post it.

I hope you love it as much as I do.  It was so much fun.  The animals that I used was some I had on my computer and I just printed them out.  I aso did it with the butterflies and the dragonflies.  The puches were the only thing that I cut on the cricut.  The ladybugs are made of wood.

Poster for Church

I had to make a poster for a church party so this is what I came up with.  This is the cake part I made it from Celebrate with Flourish.  I added handmade sprial roses and leaves I cut out myself.  I added a little sparkle to it and there you go.

Thee are are the roses that I made, they turned out so pretty and so easy to make.

I also made balloons for each side of the poster. The balloons are from Create A Critter and I just added small shapes inside the balloons to be cut out and have a layer.

This is the finishec poster.  The happy birthday was cut from Celebrate With Flourish.  The Relief Society was cut fom Holiday Cakes and I welded them together on my Gyspy.  I adding ribbon for the strings for the balloon and a bow.  I hope you enjoyed and learned a little from this.  Thanks and don't forget to leave a comment.

Crop party at Cassie's house

Last night we had a crop party at my daughers house.  I have 6 daughters and the were all there and we had the best time.   Cassie wanted us to make something for Valintine's Day so I wanted to make a box to put candy in for my husband.  I think it turned out ok.  But I learned some things that I would do different so it was a good expreince for me.

Here is a close up of the heart.  It has jewels on it. that is the part I like the most.  We also had to make cards for a sick friend that is having surgery this week.  We made two each so that others from my daughters work could pick one to give her also.  But most of all we had a great time together.

Finished up Cake boxes!

Here are my finished cake boxes.  It took me a little while to get them done.  I am going out of town for a few days so I wanted to get them done before I left.

Here is a close up of the ones I turned the flower peddles up.  I love them and it will be hard to give them away.

Piece of Cake

I am making 32 of the cake slices to give to the women in my church.  I found the pattern in Paper Crafts Mag.  I really loved it when I saw it and I made one.  I have already posted the first one I made.  It turned out so cute that I wanted to make more, but the when I started counting the women at church I found more and more that I needed to make for.

So I printed the tops off my computer on white cardstock.  Put them in the cuttlebug and punched the edge.
The bottom I printed them out on the back of the paper that I wanted to use in my computer.  I had to cut the cardstock down because it was 12"x12".  After I made the boxes I used my cricut to cut out the flowers and leaves.  I am not sure which cardridge I used because I was trying different ones.  I curled the edge of the flowers and leaves to give them a more natural look.

I then cut out a small heart and put a small hole in it at the top.  I inked around the edge of the heart and stamped a small heart in the middle.  I did this because I am giving it to them for Feb. 14.  I tied a ribbon that matched the color in the bottom of the flower and pot dot it to the top of the box.

The flowers turned out real pretty.

It looks good enough to eat but I will put some chocolate in them so that they will have something sweet to eat.  I love chocolate and I always love to give it.  I hope you enjoyed seeing my pretty cakes as much as I loved making them.  When I get done with all of them I will take a pic and post it.  Have a great night and I will post soon.
